"A Great Panzer"

I enjoy the look of the Panzer IV. I built mine without the shields. Set it next to my other Panzer IV with all shields. So I can see all the detail of the tank. Pro's: Excellent detail as always with a Tamiya kit. Easy to follow instructions with some options of early and later model wheel's. Decals are good. A separate sheet with three different tank division's,camouflage and decal location. Con's: None. I just would have liked to have a full crew. It seems to make the tank come alive more to me. Going to rebuild this kit and just add the turret shields and side skirt support's.

"My favorite of these type tank kits from Tamiya"

I like this version of this tank kit the most because of the armor panels. In real life, these would get dinged up and otherwise damaged in the field, and it adds a lot of personality when you modify the kit in this way. The panels along the sides are all modeled together, but can be cut apart if you like. I put some of mine askew, bent up the corners, drilled some bullet holes and made them look like the paint was scratched off. Quite nice.
