German Front Line Infantry Soldier Set

Great set from the 90s. Real dynamic poses depicting German troops in combat. The quality of the detail has made these figures among some of the best WW2 era figures I've seen. Great selection of late war weapons like the G43 and STG44 plus the MG42 and a Panzerfaust. As w/ most Tamiya kits, these figures can be loaded with a full kit or sparsely equipped. You can definitely get a lot of mileage out of these figures through swapping and modding parts. Details such as folds in the clothe and seams of jackets, trousers, and helmet covers are intricately rendered. You also get a strong sense of intense fighting in each character's sculpt that directly relate to a single scene rather than just a random set of poses. Another great thing about Tamiya's box sets are the painting guides for uniforms and in this case the various camouflage patterns.

I really like this kit. You can see how Tamiya has improved its quality through the years. Just compare the pose of the grenade thrower in this kit to that in the original Tamiya German paratroopers kit. The difference is pretty amazing.
