"Overall great kit"

In my quest to put this kit together it had many plus qualities and a few trouble spots. The directions and photos for the interior color areas are completely different. I had to trim down the windshield to make it fit the opening. The taillight openings need to be trimmed so the light bezels will fit. The part that goes on the bumper area also needs trimmed to fit. Now, for the good stuff. I like the difficulty of putting it together. The details of the pieces. The way the rims are put together.

"One of the best!"

This model came out looking great. Went together well and the only problem was the dash was not tight with the windshield. The wheels are awesome on this model and the detail all around was tops.

"7 stars if I could!"

I've been building for awhile and my main brand of kit has always been Amt, revell, monogram, and mpc. With a couple of tamiyas here and there. Moebius is new to me and they are AMAZING quality. The instructions are so nice they're almost worth framing and hanging up on the wall. The parts detail is incredible. I will definitely be building more moebius stuff. They're parts quality is right up with tamiya kits but theyre packaging and instruction blow tamiya away. This might be the best brand I've dealt with

"Not recommended"

I wouldn't recommend this kit based on the experiences I had. I may have gotten a subpar kit based on other reviews I see. Assembly sailed along smoothly until I reached the step for assembling the undercarriage. The instructions: 1. Attach frame to floor 2. Cement engine to frame 3. Attach exhaust pipes to floor. STOP! The exhaust pipes must go UNDERNEATH the frame! A better order might be: 1. Attach exhaust pipes to floor 2. Attach frame 3. Cement engine to frame and exhausts. I followed the instructions, consequently mine will never pass inspection as it has no exhausts. I couldn't get the front lower suspension to fit properly. The length of the spindles prevented the pegs on suspension from reaching the designed holes. The instructions indicate brake back plates cemented to spindles, then wheel assemblies attached to back plates. Front suspension prevented the wheels from being pushed far enough onto spindles. I had to cement back plates into wheels, then push onto spindles as far as suspension allowed. Bottom corners of windshield do not fit opening, leaving gaps at corners. I would recommend one of the Hudson Hornet kits from Moebius. This one will be hidden in the den as it does not qualify for display in the living room.
