"White X-ray-3 Ensign Bush's Aircraft."
johncpo41 (www.hobbiesinabarn)
This model was highly modified for the purpose of representing the actual WW2 Navy TBM flown by George H.W. Bush when he was shot down over the Japanese held island of Chi-chi Jima while bombing a radio station. My model went together without any fit or detailing problems. The accuracy of the interior is so was defined it was hard to imagine gluing the two fuselage sections together hiding all but the most visible interior parts. In the actual X-3 the radio operator/rear gunner was lost when the plane was shot down and the compartment and access door are very well represented on the model. I would highly recommend this kit to the most advanced modeler with small detail parts experience. It is not a kit for novice builders as they will not have the experience with this type of kit.
