This 1/1000 scale kit of the USS Defiant, or Weefiant is pretty decent. It makes a nice companion piece to the other 1/1000 scale Star Trek ships like the Enterprise and Reliant. The parts are relatively few, and it comes with full decals for all of the paneling. I opted not to use these in this case however, and purchased the Aztek Dummy paint masks elsewhere, and painted the entire ship over 2 days going from darkest color to lightest. I'm satisfied with the results, it looks fantastic. I did use the decals for all of the pennants and ship markings. One could light it, if they were inclined. I thought about it, but it is very small, so I just opted to build it out of the box. It's a cool model and with a little attention to detail can be an excellent display piece.
