Description This is a 1/32 Lockheed YF-22 Plastic Jet Aircraft Kit.
Facts Prototype Information: The YF-22 was developed through a partnership between Lockheed and Boeing as their entry in the Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) competition. Despite stiff competition from the other entry, the Northrop-McDonnell-Douglas YF-23, the YF-22 won the fly-off and was selected as the USAF's next generation fighter. The YF-22 has outstanding maneuverability and can cruise at supersonic speeds without using its afterburners. It will begin replacing F-15's and F-16's early in the next century.
