"Fun little weekend sub"
tophatman86
This sub was a good kit I didn't have any flashing on it the hull lined up good and the tower was a good few day projet. The only reason I did not give 5 star was that I did do a hobby boss u boat and the photo etch it has for the rails is way better looking as the revell has plastic rails and they are big and thick.

"Small but nicely detailed..."
Daithi (Maryland)
I am in the process of finishing this kit up... It has been a fun build and the kit - while being small - builds into a very nice detailed replica of the typical Type VII C U-Boat... Use a lot of patience when removing some of the railings as the sprue connections are a bit thick and makes removal from the tree a bit tricky even with sprue snips (in that I messed up a couple of the smallest railings)... I like this kit and highly recommend it for above average to advanced modelers but I would not recommend it for a beginner...

"Great kit."

It was with anticipation I did this VIIC kit after working on the HobbyBoss kits. My first reaction was I liked the HobbyBoss kits better, but as I worked on it I grew to enjoy it more. By the time I finished putting it together I liked it much better. The two biggest advantages are lower price and this kit includes all the parts as plastic, no PE. Advanced modelers may prefer the HobbyBoss kits, but for my modeling skills, this was perfect, great kit. Thoroughly enjoyed.
