"Nice model"

This model goes great next to my space shuttle. It is easy to put together. One of my favorite models to make.

I agree with the first two reviews. The kit is very detailed for its size and you WILL need a magnifier.

"A very procise and detailed model."

This model has very precise detailing for the small size if 1/72 scale. I do agree with the previous person's comment about the decals. They were very delicate and where some looked like they were together, they often were two separate items. The biggest problem I had was with the astronauts. Because the were made of a rubber type material, I noticed that every time you tried to handle them after painting, the paint would come off. This is where a little care and patience goes a long way.

"Very, very good kit!"

This is a very well done 1/72 scale kit. Despite the small scale, there are many good details, very little flash and everything goes together well. There are some MINOR flaws, however. They can be easily addressed with some patience. The box says that the hatched can be displayed open or closed. Only one hatch has interior detailing so if you want to display both open, you will need to add some scratch-built details or just leave them detail-less. The kit includes horizon sensor shroud which is behind the nose on the commander's side. On orbit, this shroud is jettisoned and the sensors are exposed. I scratch-built the sensors and left the shroud off. Minor detail. The chute cap should not be used in an on-orbit capsule, as well. The decals are very crisp but be very careful. They are very delicate and some are in more than one piece even though the instructions show them as one piece. Do your research to see what spacecraft you are modeling, as some of the decals will not be needed on some of the missions. The astronaut figures are soft rubbery plastic so paint does not want to stick. Use acrylics for them. The instructions are not clear as to where to mount certain items or where to mount the EVA umbilical. Reference photos will help a lot. FYI: the EVA umbilical mounts on the top side of the instrument panel above the commander's station and winds out over the pilot (EVA) seat to exit the hatch. I made some extra decals in Photoshop (NASA patches, name patches, display stand markings, etc.) to detail my kit as Gemini 4. All-in-all a great kit. With some extra attention to detail, it can be a fantastic little display.
