Description This is a 1/72 Plastic P-39Q/N Airacobra Model Kit from Academy Plastics. It's for ages 10 and up.
Facts Of all the fighter planes that flew during WWII, the P-39 Airacobra was unique in having its engine placed behind the pilot. This configuration gave the craft excellent agility and power. The P-39 had more powerful armament than any other single-engine fighter of the time. Nearly 9,600 Airacobras were built to serve in WWII.
Features Plastic pieces attached to sprues and molded in light grey.
Modelers will enjoy the fine surface detail, such as bolt heads and metal seams, that decorate the exterior of the craft. The cockpit is complete with a seat, controls, and gauges. The detailed propeller assembly gives the craft a very life-like look. Authentically modeled landing gear. The plane is armed with machine guns that peek innocently from the nose of the plane.
