"Nice-n-Easy"

I purchased this rocket from Hobbylinc at a wonderful price of $66.59 and was the lowest price by far I could find. This is my first build on a mid-power rocket and I have to say it was very simple with easy to follow instructions. I took the suggestion from one of the other commenters and used epoxy (15 min) and didn't skimp on it either. I would have no problem or concerns with loading this bird with an H power engine. I encountered no problems during the building of this impressive rocket, all the parts were manufactured to compliment the other. I would suggest this rocket to anyone no matter what their skill level is. Like I said, this was my first large rocket and I had no problems following the directions and fabrication was simple. Thanks Hobbylinc!

"Overall an incredible bird with very few problems discovered."

You know what you just bought as soon as you cut that tape and open up the box! The sheer quality of Aerotech kits amazes me. This rocket in particular though is a very straightforward build. The instructions and diagrams included with this kit make it extremely difficult to make mistakes. And since it is a bigger bird, just keep in mind before you start building it that you will use epoxy on the integrated support structure parts please!!!! The last thing you want is for you to be responsible for someone getting hurt at your launch because a fin or the motor tube assembly wasn't equipped to handle the higher stresses of F and G powered flight. I only had to deal with a few minor problems when completing this kit. When the fins came out of the mold, the fin roots of every fin had an arch to them. With some fancy work with a #11 bladed hobby knife and some sandpaper, the issue was resolved. You want the fin root to be flat against the body tube so that the Fin-Lok's snap all the way into place and it makes an even contact with the surface of the body tube. Since the fin roots aren't contoured to the shape of the body tube, some simple filler or putty is needed to fill the gap underneath the fins. These are all minor and should in no way discourage you from buying this kit especially from Hobbylinc.com because you will not find a better price! Finishing this kit is a breeze provided you use a primer for plastics. You will need 320 grit sandpaper for in-between coats and it's always a good idea to put on at a minimum of two to three coats just in case the actual paint you bought doesn't specifically say it can be used on high impact polystyrene plastic. I made that mistake and the plastic WILL reject the paint and my paint said that it was for plastic!! Because this rocket is so big, the color options and schemes are only limited by the builders ability. Overall, you can't go wrong with this kit being in your arsenal. Have fun and stay SAFE!!!

"Just a few defects"

Over all the rocket was pretty easy to install provided you have some experience. No wood at all on this rocket it's all done with modeling cement so that was nice. It has something that is new to me that I'm curious to see in action and that is instead of the parachute coming out of the nose cone it comes out right at the middle section. Two things I didn't like we're the way the fins and nose cone came out of the cast, the fins needed sanding and some putty to fill right at the base where it came out of the mold ( very easy and just cosmetic) however the nose cone wasn't perfectly round, when standing back you can see a slight slant since one side is slightly more curved than the other, but it's really small and unless you have a ridiculously sharp eye like mine most people will still have a hard time seeing it even after I point it out. But over all it was a good rocket to build.

The Aerotech G-Force is a very impressive rocket and very easy to build I used expoxy to attache the fins because of the stress of being heavy. I flew it for the fist time on a G38-7fj it was a slow flight to about 1,000 ft, awesome flight. The second flight was a Aerotech G80-7g green flame it was fast and hit about 2,000 ft. I flew it a local club lunch and there were several G-Force's they flew great, this has become one my favorites in my fleet.
