Tiger I Exterior Mdl

This is a plastic 1:35 Pz.Kpfw VI Tiger I (Early Version) Tank from Academy Plastics. It's for experienced modelers.

The German Tiger tank was one of the most powerful tanks to see use in WWII and was greatly feared and respected by the Allies because of its 88mm main gun and thick armor plate. Tiger production began in 1942 and the tank remained in production with minor modifications through the end of WWII. Typically, Tigers had a crew of 5. They could travel at up to 23mph on hard roads and were powered by Maybach 21,353cc V-12 engines that delivered 642hp.

"nice choice"

this is a medium+ detailed kit. unless you are a very advanced mod' you will enjoy this build. Those guys can spend another $50.00-$100.00 on their p.e. parts, metal cables and aluminum barrels. Will they have more fun than you-no/will their kits look better than yours/doubtful /

"Nice build"

I bought this kit several years ago off the internet and got started on it and moved in the meantime and never got around to finishing it. Finally got around to it a few months ago and it really turned out great. Everything fits good and it really went together well. This was my first tank I ever built and sure won't be the last. German tanks were the best in my opinion and this model has great detail also. Give this one a try and you won't be disappointed.

"Academy German Tiger I Early Production Tank"

Academy's version of the 1/35 scale Tiger I Early Production tank. The model is securely packaged and the sprues are in clear plastic bags. Instructions are easy to follow and a flyer is included concerning replacement of missing or improperly molded parts. I did not see any in my kit. There are decals for four different tanks and extra parts for early and late type air filters and spare track links. There are some parts that will not be seen once the model is completed. Overall a good looking kit which I look forward to building. Price is similar to the Tamiya kit of this same vehicle.

An enjoyable build that looks great when completed.
