"Poor quality item"

Excess flashing, body plastic old (very hard) decals fell apart, instructions very vague leaving you in the dark on the right way to assemble certain parts. Struggled to build this truck and make it look great. Chassis was the easiest part and went well, then a 2 piece body began the trouble. Great looking truck, many nice chrome pieces. Could be an awesome kit if the manufacturer would up the quality of the parts. I added 3 inches to extend the frame to build a race car hauler flatbead.

"California truck"

As always AMT has one of the best kits made. I build these kits for fun and to pass time. Modifications to these kits are very easy to do, i recommend trying this if you never had done it before.These kits have been around a long time, so they know what they are doing. This is my third White Freightliner SD in my display. Lets just say i like building this one. I recommend this kit for everybody who likes semi trucks.

"A challenge"

This a great looking truck but the kit is very challenging. I would only recommend that kit to an experienced builder. Too many parts that do not fit well. I had to sacrifice the tilting of the cab to make it look straight, which is ok with me since I did not plan to display the engine. Putting the cab together is a challenge in itself (required putty and sanding for me). I love the end result of mine, so I would say it was worth the pain.
