"One of the Best Sets"
johncpo41 (www.hobbiesinabarn)
This is one of the best sets of World War Two U.S. Marines ever and I have all four sets from DML. The highly detailed figures are without any flaws and matching and mixing figure parts across the line of each set is amazing. This particular set was used in a large diorama of mine to show a small landing force of Marines coming ashore in my Italeri amphibious vehicle supported by a tank and Jeep. The additional features of the kit is every modeler's wishes as the parts are all there to make almost any pose and equipment choice. I would highly recommend this and the other kits in the series to anyone wanting accurate Marine figures for the Pacific theatre.

"An amazing set by far."

I can't praise Dragon enough for the quality of these figures. Very detailed dungarees and gear. Sculpting captures individual facial expressions and realistic poses. Paint references for camouflage is great and detailed illustrations depicting the regular figures as seen on the cover as well as alternate pieces for them in the instructions. Great selection of weapons and gear plus highly detailed as well. The inclusion of photo-etched parts is great though I would have preferred better references for assembling the Garand rifle's sling (it's in about three pieces) and sadly the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor pins are not included in the set even though they're depicted in the instructions. Not sure if this is just a problem with my set or in general however. Otherwise a great kit with lots of extras to give you a good level of customization. I highly recommend this et.

"Amazing!"

If you want a challenge for building figures, this is for you! The details are amazing! This set offers a lot of choices as it comes with different arms and hands to put the figures into different poses. The bodies come in halves, the hands have to be glued to the arms and the feet have to be glued to the legs. Oh, and you have to glue the face to the head. It takes a while to make one figure and can be tricky to get him right. That being said, I would only recommend this a person with a bit of experience with models. This set is really not for the beginner. But, over all, a great set!
