Star Trek Klingon Bird of Prey

This is the re-re-release of the 1990's AMT Bird-of-Prey, although this latest version is the best yet. The first thing you realize when studying the instructions is that unlike the studio model, this BoP's wings cannot swing up and down - you must choose a wing position and then permanently glue the wings in that position. (There are three wing positions from which to choose.) This was a big disappointment for me at first, but I moved on. The good news is that the kit is wonderfully detailed, very accurate to the screen versions. You can individually paint every hull plate and decorative panel if you wish. I studied both Star Trek III and episodes of Deep Space Nine and realized the STIII version of the ship was brighter-lit. So I painted my BoP to match that. There is the option to build the ship with landing gear down (!!!) so I am starting the kit over again to make the landed version. Its worth two builds.
