Not to sound like an Estes fan boy, but I have probably launched a hundred of these motors during my life time and probably seen 3 times that number by others. I can honestly say that I have seen a failure to ignite or problem during thrust, ejection etc. probably only 2-3 times that can be attributed to the motor alone. (Igniter failure, short etc. excluded).
Given that most of these launches were for young kids, myself included at one time, this is probably a good thing. I would dread the day my 6 year old daughter's rocket that she colored by hand goes up in smoke the wrong way.
