F104G/S Starfighter Aircraft

Undoubtly the best F-104 kit on the market in in scale, this kit offers excellent details and several different construction options. It offers nicely done recessed panel lines and rivet details. It offers a complete detailed J-79 GE engine, which can be displayed either mounted in the aircraft with the tail removed, or on a engine stand out side the aircraft, or it can be installed in the fuselage with the tail also installed. The kit comes wit a brass photo-etch set that offers seat harnesses for both the Lockheed C2 seat or the Martin Baker seat. A pe instrument panel and side consoles or plastic instrument panel and side consoles with finely raised details. Decals are also provided for the instruments. Eduard offers a very nice Photo-etch cockpit set for this kit also. Clear parts are excellent.Two different sets of tires and gear doors are also offered, the larger late model wheels with bulged gear doors, or the earlier smaller wheels with smooth gear doors. Two different exhausht nozzels for the J-79 are also offered, a early version and a later version. The cannon bay may be assembled in the open position ,displaying a well detailed M60 Vulcan cannon. The avionics bay may also be displayed in the open position and is well detailed. The instruction manual is very detailed and clearly shows the assembely steps for the different versions. The kit even offers a booklet that gives a walk around , close up view of the real aircraft with technical details. The decal sheet consist of 2 sheets and is nothing short of awesome,offering markings and maint stencils for 10 different aircraft. Assembely should yield no problems as test fitting of parts has revealed the kit will go together very well. I would highly recommend this kit.
