"1/32 F-4G By Revell"
skippykeesler (Edwardsville ILL)
A nice offering from Revell, although the box depicts an F-4G there are actually parts for the G model an E model and an F model. Though the nose does suffer from minor shape issues, these can be rectifed by purchasing a F-4G resin conversion set.To me the minor shape issues are not that big of a problem. Like the F-4F kit, lack of cockpit detail can be fixed with Photo-etch or a aftermarket cockpit. Fit overall is good. Panel lines are excellent as well as rivet detail. Two choices of tires are offered.Regular and weighted. Decals are excellent and provide markings for 2 aircraft. There are als many aftermarket sheets aviabale if you should so choose. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Overall this is a nice kit, especially when you consider the price 1/3 of a Tamiya 1/32 F-4. I would recommend this kit. With a little work it will produce a large striking model.

"Well worth it, considering the price"
This is a 90's era mold, with nice update of a popular version. The details are finely scribed, and the raised detail isn't terrible. It could use some intake trunks, though. All in all, this is a big project, and requires shelf space. Definitely a winner

this is not a bad price as it is very good kit. nicely detailed and goes together well. it is rather large and will require a good work space and a bit of shelf area. I have built 2 and will build another given the chance

"Best Budget Minded 1/32 F4"

As with a lot of my reviews I always take into consideration the price of the item in question. This reissue by Revell is a welcome option for the budget minded 1/32 scale modeler. The panel lines are recessed although kinda shallow so be careful with your primer or be ready to scribe them. The same goes for the rivets. If you read reviews online, you'll see complaints about basic detail and especially the nose cone geometry.... Really?... If those details bug you then sell your 1st born and get a Tamiya or research some resin replacements which are all over the place. I believe the detail is quite nice and very upscale for a Revell release. Straight out of the box this is a very impressive model and I highly recommend it. The price can't be beat.

Due to small parts that could cause a choking hazard please kee away from children 3 years of age and younger.
