"Reasonable build quality for the price"

The mold was good, fit was good, but if you want deep detail you have to spend more. No movable control surface, good static display for great price.

What can I say, the content is proportional to the price. Complexity class well, not the 4th, very low detailing. quality casting 3, lantern 3. Sutures, joints outside. The assembly clearly need treatment, putty, details sometimes does not match. If you want to make his son a pleasant 5-6 years, you can buy this kit to assemble, paint and give the child to play. If you want to get from this set a good model, it will have a lot of work.

For a kit first issued in 1973 it has stood the test of time fairly well. My kit had very little flash and fit well for a nearly fifty year old model. Adding detail to the cockpit was fairly easy since you don't need to add a lot of structural details to mount equipment, remember this plane was built mostly from molded plywood with a balsa core. I added better seats, radios, throttle quadrant and I added gage cases with wiring to the back of the instrument panel. I sealed up the nacelles since I wasn't going to display the engine and I used a set of Quickboost resin exhausts in place of the kit items. The landing gear is fairly simple to build and the wheels are a good representation of the real thing even the grooved anti-shimmy tailwheel is there. I didn't use the kit decals so I can't you tell anything about them. If you want a nice large scale Mossie that doesn't cost a days pay and is a simple build, this is the one for you.
