This is an older kit and doesnâ€™t have a supper high degree of detail. The body is very good and builds into a great addition to your model collection. The decals were excellent.

My father built this kit in the early 1970's, the model is still displayed with my other builds. i was amazed to find this kit in production. this seems like a recast from older molds. detailing is a little lacking, fitment is good. its a little on the simple side compared to more modern cast kits. I am very happy with the purchase and cannot wait to build it.

Overall this kit is wonderful for a novice builder wanting to build themselves a cool looking race car. My copy had a limited amount of flash and was molded very nicely. The instructions are relatively easy to follow and the construction is quite basic. If you have built some of the more complex NASCAR builds in the past then this will be a piece of cake for you. I really like that this kit is available and when done builds a nice piece of NASCAR history. Hobbylinc also provided nice fast service and who doesn't like getting rewarded for buying and building model kits. If you are looking for a simple relaxing race car build then this should definitely be a contender on your list.

This kit is pretty good,there is a lot of flash to clean up.One bad point is that the instructions call out part numbers ,but there is no numbers on the parts trees.You have to match the part up with the diagram.For the painting there is no painting instructions, so you will need to go on line and look at photos of the real car.If you go by the box top the top color is yellow, but on the real car it is gold.For the decals they are good ,but again no numbers to follow ,you need to look at the drawing to pick the decal that goes in its place.Over all the kit went together very easy.
