I received this kit last week and so far not bad. the light kit has good instructions with the exception of when it tells you to use a different part number it does not tell you what part number you need to use and you have to search through all the parts. Very time consuming on that part. I think they should sell the model and light kit together with better instructions.

I was so mad at myself as the first one I did I entirely screwed up the lights and they would not work, so I ordered another kit, yea I know a lot of money wasted. So the next one I really followed the instructions and had a good time building it and was rewarded with a good looking model. It was really fun to put together. So to let everyone know READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Don’t get in a hurry like I did.

"The Classic is BACK!"

The Polar Lights 1/350 scale classic Enterprise model is one of the finest models I have ever received. *Out of the box: All the parts were there, and yes this is a highly detailed kit. The things that caught my attention outright were: *the details. The etching is fantastic! There were a few details I didn't even realize were present from just watching the series. *There is some flashing work on every major part, get your knives, files, and sandpaper ready. *I don't know if this is an issue other modelers have run into, but my kit had two pegs (one ventral & one dorsal) that were half broken on the secondary hull. Other than that I haven't noticed any other damage. *There was some mild warping on both pylons, a heat gun (my blow dryer on high) and a couple of quick grips solved that issue. *Last glitch I've noticed: the bridge offers two alignment, on- and off-center, the problem is the turbolift doors (interior) won't align with the blister for the turbolift if you choose the off-center configuration, if you choose the on-center configuration, it aligns beautifully! Overall, the finest Star Trek model I've bought to date. I can't wait to get the thing built! Thanks for reading y'all, I hope this helped! Kelly Anne
