Henschel Hs 123A-1

This Airfix biplane was a dream to build. I have not built a biplane since I was a youngster due mostly to never having been happy with the upper wing alignment of whatever biplane I was attempting. This model does not have that problem as the inboard struts are already part of the fuselage. This was a simple build and everything lined up very well. A bit of goo down the fuselage seam was needed but I've never built an airplane model that did not need that treatment. The cockpit was very simple (only a seat) but with the pilot installed the cockpit could not be seen. I built this kit as the depicted Condor Legion aircraft (I have read it was not really a Condor Legion plane but that is what the kit calls it). I enjoyed this tiny model so much I plan to build two more, one with the Luftwaffe scheme depicted in the instructions and one as a white Eastern Front plane. Get this fun model at this fun price!
