Description The Catalina Flying Boat was one of the most famous and recognizable airplanes of the Second World War. It served with distinction in all theatres of the war as a submarine hunter and as a rescue aircraft for downed allied flyers. This model by Guillows authentically captures the looks of the full scale PBY in massive 1/28th scale to allow a highly detailed display model to be built. This kit is NOT intended to be flown with any kind of motor.
Features The structure of the kit is all balsa and the fuselage formers and wing ribs are die cut.
Many white and clear plastic vacuum formed parts to duplicate the engine cowlings and nacelles, nose, wing tip floats, prop hubs anti-submarine bombs, canopy, fuselage waist gun blisters and more. Option to build amphibious PBY5-A or seaplane PBY5 Large waterslide decal sheet. Scale wheels for PBY5-A Full size plan sheets with instructions Includes The model can be completed without covering or the included tissue covering may be applied. Instructions for using the tissue are included.
