The engineering on this kit is of the highest quality. After building Tamyia's P38E/F kit, I had to get this one also. Pros: The 20-page instructions are of high quality. You also get two color instructions on marking options. I chose Capt. Richard Ira Bong. Plus, an insert on background information. The instructions given all the color markings for all the great detail as you go along. Tamiya has great wheel well detail. The cockpit has a lot of detail also. One pilot to fit in the cockpit. Study the instructions closely! Paints required are 28. All in Tamiya paint colors. I used Tamiya's AS-12 bare-metal silver. This made all the difference. You get two decal sheets and a masking sheet for all the clear parts. You get a lot of decals. They work great. Choice of canopy open or closed. No fit problems. All your joint's fall on your panel lines. Some parts did not require glue. I used Tamiya thin cement. I just let it flow into the joints. So, I had no excess glue to clean up. The kit also included 3 weights that fit inside the kit. No tail sitting. Choice of 150 or 300 gallon drop tanks. This is not a weekend build. Take your time and read the instructions. Defiantly not for a beginner. But not hard if you take your time and read. You will enjoy this build. Cons: NONE. HAVE FUN
