Hudson Mk.I/II Patrol Bomber

Seeing as this kit was rated 5 by Revell as difficult, I was surprised how easily the model came together. Granted, there were over 150 individual parts to the kit, most of the model came together rather smoothly. I liked the detail involved, both interior and exterior, although at times some of the parts were very trying to handle as they were so small. Be careful and patient when handling these parts. The model seems to have a built-in flaw in terms of port and starboard sides of the plane joining cleanly. I believe there's a 10mm gap mentioned in the instructions. This pretty much insures the liberal use of putty, especially in the bow of the plane to cover the gaping gap. Again nice detail overall, which includes the decals which went on rather nice and smooth. In fact, I thought they were some of the best adhering and behaving decals I've come across in a while. Usually don't build 1/72 scale kits, but I liked this one albeit its bow assembly and the necessity of delicate painting of the nose windows.
